Wildflower (The work can develop through real-time data or audience interactions)
The work is inspired by the traditional flower painting of the Song Dynasty. The blooming and fading away of flowers was a common theme of the paintings in the Song Dynasty. Through the simple yet powerful brush strokes, the shapes and appearances of the flowers are depicted, revealing the rhythm and vitality of the blooming cycle. They focus on capturing the spirit and emotions of the flowers, aiming for an impact that has both aesthetic values and meaning.
“Wildflower” allows the audience to communicate with the computer-generated flowers by the flowers they drew on their own. The thickness, curvature, and variation of the lines echo with the Zen music, delivering the imagery about vitality and hope of the world, illusionarily mapping back and forth in time between the present and the Song Dynasty.
